Vetmedin is a beef-flavored chewable medication for dogs 6 months of age and older, used to manage congestive heart failure (CHF) caused by valvular insufficiency or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).

It helps improve heart function and enhances the dog’s quality of life.

🔹 Active Ingredient

• Pimobendan 2.5 mg per chewable tablet

🔹 Indications / Purpose

• Treatment of congestive heart failure
• Management of preclinical heart disease
• Used in dogs with:
• Valvular insufficiency
• Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)

🔹 Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose: 0.23 mg per pound of body weight per day
• Dose should be divided into two administrations (every 12 hours)
• Administer 1 hour before meals for optimal absorption
• Tablets are chewable and can be split if needed
